When: Saturday, March 22, 1-4 pm
What: In this 3 hour beginner level workshop you will learn how to colour with yarn using the Oxford Punch Needle! Workshop participants will complete a 10" wall hanging called ‘Floppy Poppies’. We will use 100% wool, chunky rug yarn from Canadian company Briggs + Little Woolen Mills. Punch needle is easy to learn; with a few tips and tricks from Brittney of Fibird Studio, you will quickly enjoy this unique art form.
Where: The Community General Store - 226 Main St, Unit 1C, Niverville, MB
Workshop Kit: 100% Canadian wool yarn, 10" Cloth wrapped wood frame with pre-drawn image from Fibird. Students will borrow a #10 regular Oxford Punch Needle for the workshop; it is not a part of the kit. Punch needles and other supplies can be purchased through Brittney after the workshop. Includes a coffee from The Community General Store!
Prerequisite: None! Punch needle is beginner friendly and easy to learn.
Class Size: This workshop is limited to 16 participants.
