Named after the Atabapo River in Venezuela, where it grows natively in the understory of humid rainforests, 'Atabapoense' thrives in a lower light, higher humidity environment. Its leaves are deeply lobed near the stems and arrowhead-shaped. What makes them truly intriguing, however, are their maroon undersides.
